Alitalia

Alitalia - Compagnia Aerea Italiana started operations in January 2009, following the acquisition of assets from Alitalia - Linee Aeree Italiane and Air One. Today Alitalia is Italy’s leading airline, serving over 23 million passengers with more than 4,500 weekly flights across a network of 79 destinations, 25 in Italy and 54 in the rest of the world.

It has a multi-base network system encompassing seven airports: Rome, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Turin, Venice, Naples and Catania. Its fleet is composed of 144 aircraft. Today it is among the most modern in Europe, with the average age of its aircraft just 8.6 years.

Alitalia participates in the biggest trans-Atlantic joint venture with AIR FRANCE-KLM and Delta Air Lines.

In 2010 Alitalia positioned Air One as a low-fare, high quality carrier operating from the Milan Malpensa airport. Alitalia, through its products and services, the competence and the warm and welcoming hospitality of its staff, aims to be recognized as an ambassador of Italian style throughout the world.
